AS A LOCAL CIVIC LEADER IN THE 194TH, THANK YOU FOR SHARING THE INFORMATION BELOW  AND SHARING OR POSTING THE ATTACHED FLYERS WITH YOUR COMMUNITY!

My 86th Town Hall Meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Roxborough Church, 8230 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, 19128.
Discussion will focus on the recently passed 2019-20 state budget.

Once again, the structural deficit was not addressed in the latest state budget. The budget process is flawed, and citizens would be better served if a handful of lawmakers were not making decisions for all 253 elected senators and representatives. Well-funded special interests have more influence over the budget than rank and file members who represent most of the citizens of the commonwealth.

The budget and affiliated code bills are adequate, but adequate should not be what we aspire to during this process. Code bills are often a compilation of other bills and at times, truly a mix of the good, the bad and the ugly.

Plenty of free parking is available at Roxborough Church. Take bus route 9 and 27 for those using public transportation.

As always, folks from all parts of the 194th Legislative District are welcome.

Also, on Friday, July 19th from 10 a.m. to noon, my office will be offering The Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition produce vouchers to residents in my Legislative District who meet the requirements.  Please refer to the attached flyer and thank you for helping me to spread the word to those who may be able to take advantage of coming to the office to collect $20 vouchers good at participating farmer's markets, four of which are located in my district.

This program fosters healthy eating for our seniors.

I am a proud supporter of all the farmer's markets in the district.
