If you wish to donate or volunteer, or you our someone you know is in need, there are several local programs during the holidays.

North Light Community Center
============================

North Light is running several programs.

Thanksgiving Boxes
------------------

We provide you with all the fixings to make a meal for your family including a turkey and a pie. To sign up please call (215) 483-4800 or email services at northlightcommunitycenter.org. Deadline to sign up is Friday, November 11th. Boxes can be picked up at:

    North Light Community Center

    Monday, November 21st
    from 10:30am to 7:00pm

    or
    Tuesday, November 22nd
    from 11:00am to 5:00pm

    Volunteers are needed to help hand out the boxes.

Holiday Gift Assistance

If you have children and your family needs a little extra assistance in providing gifts to your children this coming holiday, please call (215)-483-3800 or email services at northlightcommunitycenter.org to request an application for holiday gift assistance.

    Application deadline to apply is:

If you would like to Adopt-a-Family and donate gifts for a family this holiday season, please call (215) 483-4800 and ask to speak with Krista or email her at services at northlightcommunitycenter.org.

Food Pantry
-----------

Through a partnership with Philabundance, with funding form ShopRite, North Light has access to the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank. Through the Grocers Against Hunger program, Acme (Roxborough), Target (City Line) and Whole Foods Market (Plymouth Meeting) supply a wide variety of fresh foods and grocery items twice each week. Non-perishable items are donated from food drives from over 100 distinct individuals and organizations including schools, churches, and businesses.

    Food is distributed at 10:30AM
    on Mondays and Fridays.

    Volunteer Assistance Needed
    Friday Delivery Drivers

    Pick up food on Fridays from North Light and deliver to local residents for contactless drop-off.
    Timing is flexible, but is usually completed in the afternoon.

Manayunk Meals and More
-----------------------

North Light and Manayunk Development Corporation are partnering for Manayunk Meals and More holiday meals December 18th.
Check the web site, after Thanksgiving, to sign up for a meal or to volunteer to make local deliveries.

Housing Info
------------

North Light can also help with housing and utility assistance grants.

Manayunk Development Corporation

MDC will be partnering with North Light for the Manayunk Meals and More program.  See above.

MDC will be doing an Operation Santa Claus Toy Drive again this year. They are still finalizing a launch date for this but anyone who is interested can email info at manayunk.org and they will be notified when it goes live.



5th District Police
===================

The 5th district has several opportunities including a Thanksgiving Food drive and toys for tots. For these programs, Residents can contact Officer Damian Caggiano at damian.caggiano at phila.gov
